The aurora borealis or northern lights are regular visitors there the night skies above the village of Reine in Lofoten (Norway ) islands. In this scene , captured from a campsite at the top of a mountain, auroral curtains really seem to create an eerie tension with the lights of the coast. The stunning image , a modern perspective of the world at night , was chosen as the overall winner of the International Competition of Photography of Heaven and Earth organized in 2016 by The World at Night.//
Las auroras boreales o luces del norte son visitantes habituales de los cielos nocturnos que hay encima del pueblo de Reine, en las islas Lofoten (Noruega). En esta escena, captada desde un camping en la cima de una montaña, las cortinas de las auroras parecen realmente crear una tensión fantasmagórica con las luces de la costa.
